The pod delivers basal insulin regardless of how close it is to the PDM. Pod must be within 5 feet of the PDM to deliver bolus doses. If they could fix the updates issue I would give the app 5 stars. Omnipod Display app allows users to view PDM data on their smartphones, and the View app shares data with up to 12 friends or family members. Guess I’ll be uninstalling/reinstalling again and hoping it fixes the problem, but it’s just a big hassle.
#OMNIPOD DISPLAY UPDATE#
Resigned to just deal with getting updates but having it appear as though I wasn’t, I kept going until just a few minutes ago, when the app suddenly replaced the main screen with a message that said “Last Update 3+ Days Ago”. The most recent issue has been that 3 days ago, the app started showing the red banner like it does if there hasn’t been an update within 30 minutes, but the IOB and dose history were updating fine as if there wasn’t a problem. I ended up having to uninstall the app both times and then reinstall and re-invite myself to follow again, at which point it went back to working correctly. In two instances, my app stopped providing updates entirely while my wife’s kept working (I’m on iPhone 8 Plus, latest iOS, and she’s on an iPhone 11). For Omnipod (left) and Omnipod DASH (right), you should see the Pair Pod screen. Once a pod is paired, the Pump display is the same, except the Omnipod screen has a RileyLink Devices section. Unfortunately, every now and again, the updates we should be receiving from the cloud don’t happen. Omnipod Common 2 After selecting a RileyLink for Omnipod, all other actions for Omnipod and Omnipod DASH are the same.
#OMNIPOD DISPLAY UPGRADE#
The benefit of being able to see what our 14-year-old is doing as far as when he’s dosing and for how much, etc., is such a helpful upgrade over the old Omnipod system. We’ve been using the Omnipod Dash system for a couple months now.

Upon accepting the Podder’s™ invitation, the Viewer can see the Podder’s™ important therapy-related information, such as alerts and alarms, Insulin On Board (IOB), last bolus, last blood glucose reading, current basal program, PDM battery status, and more. Omnipod VIEW™ is an application that allows you to view PDM data and Pod status information from any Podder™ who sends you an invitation. The Omnipod Display app allows for a convenient display of PDM data on the user’s iOS smartphone including Pod status, insulin therapy history, and alarms, as well as a Find My PDM feature. The Omnipod VIEW™ app allows users to see the insulin delivery information of friends and loved ones that have invited them to view their information from the next room over, or across the country.
