Silver Mist is a very light blue gray paint color, and I feel like using these 2 colors in a room together can give a very spa-like feel. You could use these together in a room that you want to feel dark and cozy, like a theater room, but you may need to steer clear in living areas, especially if they’re smaller or don’t get much natural light. I would say to use these colors together cautiously, however, since both can feel very dark. It doesn’t have any super obvious undertones, so pairing this with the warm tones of Stone Hearth can create a little drama in your space without feeling overwhelmed. It’s almost more of a really, really deep gray.

The closer a color is to 0, the closer it is to black which means it won’t reflect light well or at all. The LRV, or Light Reflectance Value, of a paint color is on a sliding scale of 1 to 100. However, because of its undertones of brown, it feels warmer painted on your walls unless you have a lot of direct sunlight in a room with south-facing windows. Stone Hearth definitely has some purple undertones, which would lean itself to being a cool color. What undertones does Benjamin Moore Stone Hearth have? However, in rooms with more natural light, it will read like a warm neutral color. In rooms with less natural light, it will show its more mid-toned, taupe side. In particular, Stone Hearth is a warm neutral paint color that can go from light to dark, depending on where it is placed in the room. Taupe is essentially a beige paint color that has stronger grey undertones than a true beige. If you’re unsure what a mushroom paint color is, it’s somewhere between a greige and a true taupe.
